Conflicts Disclosure Statement for Local
Government Officers
School Districts are now required to post
this notice and Disclosure Statements on
their web sites. Adds Local Government Code
Title 5, Subtitle C, Ch. 176
HB 914 creates a new filing requirement for
local government officers and certain
persons who contract with or are considering
doing business with local government
entities to make certain financial and
business disclosures. It requires the Ethics
Commission to adopt, not later than December
1, 2005, the conflicts disclosure statement
and the conflict of interest questionnaire
that filers will use to file with the
appropriate local governmental entity
beginning January 1, 2006. The school
district is required to post Disclosure
Statements on their website.
